Who is responsible
Viveli, named above, is responsible for the personal data described on this page. Snowdesk, our software for schools, has its own Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Data Processing Agreement.
What we collect, and why
When you visit this site, our hosting provider records technical data — your IP address, the time, the page requested, and your browser and device — to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use it to identify you.
When you write to us — by email, or through the contact form, which opens your own email program — we receive what you send: usually your name, organisation, email address and message. We use it only to answer you and, if you become a customer, to set up your account.
We do not sell personal data, show advertising, or send newsletters you did not ask for.
Legal basis
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) we process this data because it is needed to run the site and to answer you. Where the EU GDPR applies, the bases are our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f)) and the steps you ask us to take before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
Where it is stored, and who sees it
This site is hosted by Vercel Inc., USA, which serves it from a worldwide network. If the site fails, an error report may go to Sentry, which stores it in Germany. Emails reach us through our email provider. Some of these providers are based in, or may access data from, countries outside Switzerland and the EU, including the USA; where that happens we rely on the safeguards Swiss law recognises — a certification under the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework, or the standard contractual clauses recognised by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
How long we keep it
Our hosting provider keeps its technical logs for a short period and then deletes them. Messages you send us are kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange; if you become a customer, they become part of our customer records and are kept as long as those are — up to ten years for the records Swiss law requires us to keep.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, and receive it in a common electronic format. Write to info@viveli.ch; we answer within 30 days. You may also complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), www.edoeb.admin.ch, or, where the GDPR applies, to the data protection authority where you live or work.
Cookies
This site sets two cookies, both needed for it to work as you asked: NEXT_LOCALE remembers your language until you close your browser, and vv-theme remembers whether you chose the light or the dark look, for one year. The look you chose is also saved in your browser’s local storage. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
